Throughout his career Gus has worked with small business owners to well-known brands in  operations,  business development and traditional, social – digital media, special event, sponsorship and public relations strategies. Gus began his career in the airline industry in Miami, FL. He relocated to Atlanta, GA directing regional business and special events for Delta Air Lines domestic and transatlantic inflight magazines, SKY and The Delta International Story. Prior to joining Style, he served in regional and national marketing roles with Land Rover USA, Group 480 and ESPN / BASS. His work spans multiple industries and include clients such as Regions Bank, American Express, Adobe, USA Today, Sotheby’s International Realty, Hawaiian Tropic, Marriott, Land Rover, Coca Cola and the Chevrolet Division of GM.

In 2014, Gus was elected to the Board of Directors of the Birmingham Chapter of the American Marketing Association, where he serves as Committee Chair and Vice President of Sponsorship. He was the first Board member to launch the Chapter’s Collegiate Mentoring Program, and for one year shared his time, advice, and guidance with a Senior Marketing major from the University of Alabama – Birmingham.

A natural connector, Gus has raised over $1.4M for nonprofit organizations including the Land Rover Charitable Contributions Foundation, the ESPN / B.A.S.S. Partnership with Children’s Miracle Network. In 2012 he secured corporate underwriting support for Secretary of State – Alabama, James Bennett (1993-2014), who was commissioned by the Birmingham Jefferson Historic Society for his latest book, Historic Birmingham & Jefferson County, An Illustrated History.

Gus speaks to various groups and for the past three years, to Seniors at Samford University’s Brock School of Business on the importance of networking and value of relationships as they prepare to embark on their careers. A product of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Gus actively supports the Hoover Area Chamber of Commerce, Birmingham’s Finest – Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Birmingham Restaurant Week and the American Marketing Association.
