DESCRIPTION:Join AMA Birmingham as Merchant Abbas gives us an overview of how Regions navigated the pandemic\, what they prioritized and how to gain buy-in\, along with their brand evolution.  \nAbout Our Speaker \nAbbas Merchant is Chief Marketing Officer for Regions and provides strategic direction on all aspects of marketing\, including strategy\, brand and communications\, integrated media\, and experiential marketing. Regions is a regional bank that operates throughout the South\, Midwest and Texas and is headquartered in Birmingham\, Alabama. \nMerchant joined Regions in 2021 with more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of marketing. Prior to Regions\, Merchant served as Group Vice President\, Consumer and Business Marketing and Customer Analytics and Sciences at M&T Bank. In this role\, he led consumer and business marketing\, as well as customer data and analytics\, digital and direct marketing\, and marketing operations. He previously led analysis and other marketing efforts at U.S. Bancorp and ScottsMiracle-Gro as well.  \nMerchant received an MBA from Drexel University and a BBA from Temple University. In addition\, Abbas completed the Senior Leadership Development Program at University of Michigan Ross School of Business\, Personal and Advanced Mastery from Learning as Leadership.
