What is your favorite word, and why?

Serendipity – It’s a pretty sounding word and I love the meaning of it. I believe the happiest things are
those that happen by chance.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

Bend, don’t break.

What’s your most unique talent?

Drawing, painting and sculpting

Who is someone you admire, and why?

For me, that’s hard to narrow down to one person. In my work I’m lucky to have the opportunity to meet a
lot of people who, decades ago, changed the course of history for the better. Many of those who
protested against segregation in Birmingham, marched in Selma and Washington, D.C. in the 1960s
enduring unimaginable hate. Despite that, these are often some of the most joyful, fun loving people I’ve
ever met. There’s a quiet strength in that.
